There are many ways that King Ethelbert School works with the community. We believe that we are at the hub of the Birchington and Westgate communities as well as establishing many other wider partnerships. These partnerships are continuously expanding and this is something that we fully support and encourage. The menu on the left shows some of our community partnerships including work with our primary school partners, links with schools and organisations in South Africa and India, work placements, community use of our facilities and further education courses taking place at the school every Tuesday and Thursday evening. These are exciting times for the school and we are delighted to announce that our campus is due to be completely revamped over the next two years as part of the government's Building Schools for the Future progamme. We have also recently appointed a Director of Community Learning, Jayne Lawson, who will be looking to develop a number of exciting community initiatives with parents, jobseekers and local businesses. |
