Building Schools for the Future
The school is delighted to be chosen as one of the first schools in Kent to be modernised as part of the national Schools for the Future programme. Accordingly, governors, pupils and staff have been involved in redesigning the school buildings and environment to make it fit for purpose for 21st century teaching and learning. By 2010, the school will be remodelled around five learning zones;
• Design, • Commercial, • Communication, • Discovery and • Well – being.
These will reflect the many different aspects of learning we plan for our young people to be engaged in. At the heart of this redesign, which will include substantial new build, will be an emphasis on the use of state of the art technology. The work is due to commence in September 2008, and is a most exciting development for the school.
