The school is situated in open fields, with easy access from a link road.  The site currently comprises of spacious buildings, a technology block as well as a brand new 6 court sports hall which also contains a dance studio and fitness studio.  The sports hall is available to the community outside of school hours and anyone interested in hiring this facility or other areas of the campus should contact  Roger Saffery.

Noticing the need for ICT for research and learning in an increasingly technological society, King Ethelbert School is way above the national average in its computer:pupil ratio.  We have almost 1 computer to every 2 pupils.  Our computing facilities include an Apple Suite which was completely recently.  King Ethelbert School will also have its own pupil run radio station to further explore media through practical production.

We are one of the focus schools for the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) government project.  By 2010 the whole school will have been redeveloped.  The redevelopment of the existing structure will include incorporating a Learning Resource Centre into every learning zone to encourage and enable independent learning.

The school is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
