CAREERS EDUCATION AND GUIDANCE ENTITLEMENT STATEMENT  - KEY STAGE 3

As a pupil of King Ethelbert School you are entitled to receive a programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance.

By the end of Key Stage 3 you will be helped to: -

  • Get to know what skills and personal qualities you have and how to develop them
  • Work out what possible barriers there are that might prevent you achieving your goals and how to overcome them

Find out more about what opportunities there are in learning and work

  • Understand more about the world of work and how it is changing
  • Explore and understand the choices you have for future learning

Find out more about how to achieve your goals and ambitions

  • Learn how to plan ahead and deal with all kinds of changes as they happen to you
  • Know who is there to help you in and out of school and exactly what they can do for you

You can expect to be

  • Treated equally with others
  • Given careers information, advice and guidance that is up to date and impartial
  • Treated with respect by visitors to the school who are part of the careers programme
  • Given extra help and support if you have special needs
