At King Ethelbert School merits are rewarded for many areas of success.  These include good effort, high standards of work etc.  When you reach each of the merit landmarks you will receive a certificate and a badge.  You will also be able to exchange your merits for rewards at Pupil Services during break or lunchtimes.

For each merit landmark you will be able to choose from a list of rewards that include:

50 Merits

• Calculator

100 Merits

• Gel pens
• Coloured pencils
• 'Crazy Cog' and puzzle eraser and school pen

150 Merits

• Memo cube
• 'Scratch card' travel puzzles
• Swimming or bowling voucher

200 Merits

• Brainblock puzzle
• Pack of highlighters
• Mindbending puzzle book

250 Merits

• Disposable camera
• Aquabatic puzzle
• Stencil set

300 Merits

• Mobile phone top-up voucher (£10.00)
• Golf lesson
• Book choice of the month (LRC)
• WH Smith voucher

300+ Merits

• For every 20+ merits i.e. 320, 340, 360 etc. you wil gain an extra entry into the annual prize draw.

Your King Ethelbert crown badge and certificate is presented in your next assembly when you reach each level of achievement.
