We shall soon be introducing an online service for making secure payments to the school. For further details click here. In the meantime the following procedures will apply for paying for school trips.
Some of the visits that we organise on behalf of our pupils involve a payment towards the cost of the trip. You should receive a letter from the member of staff organising the trip advising you of the full cost together with, if appropriate, details of methods of paying by instalment. There are a number ways of making this payment. Some parents prefer to give the money to their child for handing in at the school. If you wish to pay by this method, please note the following: -
-
All monies (either cash or cheque) should be placed in an envelope. Please write on the envelope the amount of money enclosed, the name of your child, his/her tutor group and something to identify the trip e.g. "Trip to Rome".
-
We much prefer, for security reasons, for payments to be made by cheque. All cheques should be made payable to King Ethelbert School. Please write the details of your cheque guarantee card on the reverse of the cheque.
-
Your son/daughter should hand the envelope with the money to our Pupil Services section at break time. Please encourage your child not to give money to his/her form tutor.
-
A day or two after making payment your child's form tutor should give him/her a receipt as evidence of payment.
Other parents prefer not to hand money to their child. If this is your preference then you can either send a cheque by post or make a personal payment at the school. If making a postal payment please address the envelope to the Finance Section, King Ethelbert School, Cantebury Road, Birchington, Kent CT7 9BL. Please include full details of the trip as shown above. Receipts for payment either by post or by personal payment will be given to your child via his/her form tutor.
