This course is a BTEC First Diploma which is a level 2 NVQ programme of study that allows learners to focus on the health and social care vocational area. The qualification is designed to be work-related and develop a specific set of practical skills and associated knowledge. This provides a job-related qualification that prepares learners to enter an area of work they are interested in or to progress on to further study Post-16.

Vocational experience in a health care setting - this will relate directly with the work experience that learners undertake.

Impact of diet on health
These units give a variety of experiences, including the opportunity to visit a range of health related areas, to develop communication skills and confidence when placed in unfamiliar circumstances.
This is a nationally recognised course and is accepted as equivalent to four A* - C GCSE grades.
