What a tremendously fantastic and busy week we had in Salamanca!
Sat 18th October 32 year 10 GCSE Spanish students set off for Gatwick for a week of Spanish lessons and activities in the cosmopolitan city of Salamanca in mainland Spain. Students completed an intensive Language course at Academia ISLA, attending 4 hours of lessons a day and we are delighted that the Isla teachers praised our students for being so hard working, enthusiastic and making great progress throughout the week. Every afternoon was filled with cultural activities and we thoroughly enjoyed our city visit, climbing the cathedral tower a photo rally and a treasure hunt for which they interviewed members of the public in Spanish! Our evenings were also filled with fun and food! Students made the most of the opportunity to eat Paella in a typical Spanish restaurant and on another night tasted different local tapas. We also danced Salsa and sang Karaoke! The students were brilliant all week and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are very proud of them all.
