We’ve had the following message from thos co-ordinating the KAH collections for Ukraine:
As we begin another school week, we wanted to take the time to send you a message of thanks for the support that your school community have shown to the people of Ukraine.
As of Saturday night, 8 HGV lorries have been sent to the Ukraine full with donations from all across Kent. We are fortunate that our lorries are currently getting directly into the Ukraine to those that need it more. Many aid vehicles are only allowed as far as Poland/the boarders.
On behalf of all the team at Bigjigs/Kent Help for Ukraine, please pass on our sincere thanks to your pupils, parents, staff and wider community for their tremendous effort in providing aid for those families in Ukraine. We look forward to continuing to support this project in the weeks ahead.
It’s great to see that our donations are on their way to the people who need them most. We are still taking donations, although they have asked for no more clothes or soft toys, and instead there is an updated list of the things they are most in need of at the moment.
