The Creative Design and Technology department covers a broad spectrum of design for the modern age. We encourage pupils to experiment with a range of media to develop the skills to invent and create products for the future.

Creative Design and Technology prepares learners to imaginatively explore their own ideas by testing and developing their abilities to challenge a range of possible design outcomes. We aim to develop learners who are autonomous, are problem solvers and are able to intervene creatively to the projects and situations they meet.

It is the intention of the Creative Design and Technology department to incorporate the creative and expressive elements of art with working to a design specification. This will enable our learners to examine the idea of fulfilling a need within design and generating the best possible outcomes. These are all transferable skills and are highly prized in the world of work

Pupils will study Textiles, Ceramics and 3-D design, Jewellery and Food.
